The crowds descended on Velwell Orchard on Saturday for our Autumn Celebration. Many litres of apple juice were pressed thanks to all those who brought apples along. And a record number of pizzas were baked in our oven too – somewhere close to 100. It was great to see so many friendly faces after what has been a quiet summer.

Now that the apple press has been dusted down and cleaned up it will be here ready for anyone to use on volunteer days – just bring along your apples and some bottles.

The next event in the calendar is the Autumn Gathering of the South Devon Biodynamic Group when we get together to make the BD preps, and stir cowhorn manure. This year however, there is a big difference in that the AGMs of the national Biodynamic Association, and the Biodynamic Land Trust are both happening the same weekend on the Saturday. So this weekend is a one-off special occasion for any of you interested in biodynamics. You can find further info by clicking here.

Volunteer days continue on Mondays and Thursdays for a few more weeks while there is still a lot of food coming out of the garden, please do pop by to collect produce anytime between sunrise and 4pm.
